Geelong Cats To Go 2009 AFL Premiership Undefeated

Geelong will win the 2009 AFL premiership. At the present time they are paying $1.95 at Sportsbet to secure the flag on final day, but the real betting is in how they will get there.
Will they go the season undefeated or will they succumb to the only other undefeated AFL team in the competition in the huge Round 14 clash, Geelong vs St Kilda?
Iasbet have Geelong $1.95 for the flag and St Kilda $4.00. Centrebet’s 2009 AFL premiership odds are very similar, but are betting a slightly more attractive market at $1.95 Cats and $4.10 for the Saints. With Geelong at $1.95 on Sportsbet for the AFL premiership, they have marked the Saints at $4.00, same as Iasbet.
But all that has moved to the background for now with the looming clash of the AFL heavyweights s in Round 14. St Kilda Saints vs Geelong Cats at Teslstra Dome. Aware of how huge the match will be, the AFL have moved it back to 3:10pm on Sunday 5th July 2009 to ensure it gets maximum coverage.
For many weeks now, Sportsbet and Centrebet and have been taking bets on Geelong or St Kilda to go through the year undefeated.
Centrebet has offered odds has high as $4.40 to punters willing to back the Cats for an undefeated season, but have now crunched that in to $3.65. By comparison they are offering an amazing $9.00 about St Kilda being able to manage the same feat. They had priced them just a few weeks earlier at $10.75.
Sportsbet have taken a similar line offering up $3.50 about the Catters for the clean sweep.
As of Round 14 only one of these teams will still be in the running to take this rare prize and should ensure the game and the hype surrounding it equate to that of a final itself.
As for the actual Round 14 Clash Of The Titans, the odds for the game have the Cats backed in to $1.55 to beat St Kilda, who have eased from an opening $2.25 out to about $2.50, but as they aren’t advertised on the websites, you’ll need to ask for them.
Only one team will walk away from the huge 5th July clash with punter’s dreams intact and at Australian Gambling we’re back the Geelong Cats at both Sportsbet at $3.50 and again at Centrebet at $3.65 to ride the full AFL season unbeaten.
For those that disagree with us, you can bet on the Cats to get beaten sometime this year at $1.28 at Centrebet and $1.30 at Sportsbet, but you’ll be doing your money cold.

They have had a real close call lately, it is a real challenge to get through an entire season undefeated. Tough call.
