My best multi bet of this weekend is spread between the AFL and NRL. It’s a 5 leg multi paying $6.06. Our four leg multi last week paying over 12/1 lost last week on the final leg when the Dragons didn’t beat the Panthers by 13+.

1. Roosters to beat Rabbitohs @ $1.87
2. Collingwood to beat Port Adelaide by 25+ @ $1.55
3. Manly to beat Canberra @ $1.28
4. St Kilda to beat Brisbane @ $1.21
5. Penrith to beat New Zealand @ $1.35

Good luck to all the Aussie Punters having a crack this weekend with multi bets.

This week the crew here at AustralianGambling.com.au are starting a weekly section with our best multi bets. Quite a few punters here like to get on multis, so we’ve decided to post our best multi each week.

I’m using my account at Sportingbet Australia for these multi bets.

This week we have a four leg multi, with three NRL games despite the split round and team changes due to Origin 3.

Best Weekend Multibet

1. Canterbury to beat Canberra. Head to head win @ $1.40
2. Spain to beat Paraguay @ $1.48
3. Roosters to beat Raiders. Head to head win @ $2.35
4. Dragons to beat Panthers. Margin betting, 13+ @ $2.55.

Total = $12.42.

The reasoning behind these bets is pretty straight forward. For full details view the NRL round 17 betting article.

The Bulldogs are close to full strength against a Sharks team that is without their three best players. Without Barrett, Gallen and Snowden the Sharks would be getting smacked with the wooden spoon.

Spain have far too much class for Paraguay. The South Americans couldn’t score against New Zealand or Japan, so I can’t imagine them inflicting too much damage on Spain. The Spaniards will have too much firepower and will eventually break down the Paraguayan defense if they are having trouble.

The Roosters are showing great value here @ $2.35 for the win. The Raiders were extremely disappointing last week against the Bulldogs and couldn’t score any points. The Roosters will be without Pearce and Myles, but they won last start without them. After playing last week in New Zealand, it can’t get much colder than there. The Roosters flogged the Raiders in their last match, and they should have enough to get over the line in this one.

The Dragons have won ten of their twelve matches by 13+ in the NRL 2010 season. They’ll be without several big players due to SOO, but so will the Panthers. I think Penrith will really struggle without Lewis and Petero up front and Jennings and Gordon in the back line. It’s hard to argue with the Dragons winning 13+ if you are picking them to win. Form suggests they will, even without their big names. Gasnier might well prove the determining factor in this match, bringing extra firepower to the gunfight.
