In our Caulfield Cup late mail post yesterday we predicted that the best shot was Viewed at 15/1. If you jumped on then you would be seeing a nice return now as the Bart Cummings horse won the 2009 Caulfield Cup. All the late money came for predatory pricer. This money was no good as Bart Cummings picked up the quinella. Roman Emporer finished in 2nd place to cap off a highly successful day for the connections. As AustralianGambling.com.au continues to delve into the Spring Carnival of 2009 we will do our best to bring you even more winners. With the Melbourne Cup of 2009 fast approaching there is money flooding in from all around the country. Congratulations to the ...
With three of the top four runners in the 2009 Caulfield Cup being foreigners, this is the widest the betting has ever been on this race. Punter don’t know much about the overseas horses, with some punters at Sports Alive getting on Kirklees at longer than the current 9/1 odds. Last start winner and Bart Cummings trained Allez Wonder is paying $9.50 on SPorts Alive. That is significantly shorter than the 41/1 it was paying on the weekend. A couple of punter went to town on the Aussie bookmaker when they had up to $300 on the long shot. No one seems to know what they are betting on this year. It is a wide open affair, with the bookies ...
Last night there were a couple of surprising results that went against me. While Portsmouth had been improving of late, I didn’t think they would win away to Wolves. I did predict that there was a likely chance that Sunderland would draw against Man Utd. If you took that piece of advice you would have been able to get $6.50. Sunday night’s games include the Chelsea vs Liverpool blockbuster. Chelsea are coming off their first loss in the EPL under Carlo Ancelotti while Liverpool lost mid-week in their European tie. Big games that Chelsea are involved in tend to favour ending in draw. With that being said, you can jump on the draw @ $3.20 on Sportsbet. Chelsea are paying ...
The English premier League gets underway again in less than half an hour. It has been a while since I have posted my tips, but I can assure you, I will be posting my tips each week again. Let’s get straight into it and have a look at the games being played at midnight on Saturday night, Aussie time. The match being showed on Fox Sports is Bolton vs Tottenham. Bolton had what I think was a surprising 1-0 victory away to Birmingham last start. They have’nt showed much all season and contine to be the bore they have always been. Tottenham won impressively 5-0 against giant killers Burnley. This was a great result for them after losing to both ...

Last week saw the demise of the minor premiers in Brisbane and the renaissance continue for the Parramatta Eels. The action hots up this weekend with traditional rivals the Bulldogs and the Eels facing off on Friday night at ANZ Stadium while on Saturday night after the AFL Grand Final, the Storm and the Broncos renew acquaintances at Etihad Stadium. Bulldogs v Eels – ANZ Stadium 7:45pm Team news: Both teams will be as named after Daniel Mortimer and Krisnan Inu both passed fitness tests. Jamal Idris and Brett Kimmorley also are good to go for the Bulldogs. Game news: What a cracker of a match this promises to be. The brashness and exuberance of the Eels against the workmanlike ...
Eels v Titans – SFS 7:45pm Team news: The Eels have lost centre Krisnan Inu for the match with Jonathan Wright coming in to replace him. The Eels have no other injury concerns. The Titans are in trouble with Mat Rogers, Preston Campbell and William Zillman all in doubt for the match. Zillman is rated the least likely to play. Game news: The Titans will have to be at their absolute best to get near the red-hot Eels. If Campbell or Rogers are ruled out, I’d say it’s curtains for them in this match and for 2009. The Eels should be able to exert some pressure through their forwards and rely on the brilliance of Hayne and Mortimer to get ...
Well, the top 8 teams have been decided and the business end of the season is upon us. At this stage, there is not one standout team that you can say is a clear favourite to take out the premiership title. Let’s turn our attention to the games this weekend. Storm v Sea Eagles – ETIHAD Stadium 7:45pm Team news: The Storm welcome back Jeff Lima from a hand injury and he’ll start from the bench in place of Hep Cahill. Adam Blair is also free to play after beating a drumstick charge at the judiciary. The Sea Eagles welcome back Jamie Lyon from injury and he’ll start at 6 with Kieran Foran likely to drop back to the bench, ...
Australia horse racing jockeys have gone on strike today with controversy and tempers raging. With all of the days racing action lined up the Ballina Cup day is the only one goiong ahead. It all started with Victorian jockeys understandably unhappy about a new rule change involving whipping the horses. Last Thursday the Australian Racing Board met to discuss relaxing the rule just a little. The jockeys were seeking an amendment to the rule that would allow them to whip in the final 100 yards if their horse was in contention. In an interview that Corey Brown did on Sky Racing he told them that the jockeys will be fighting the rule vigorously. Brown has already been suspended because of ...
