Face the Ace Challenge – Full Tilt Poker
Written By Nick Haslem On Wednesday 1st July 2009
The Face the Ace Challenge has been announced by Full Tilt Poker. What exactly does that mean? It means that players on Full Tilt will have the chance to star on a TV show against the Full Tilt pros to win $1 million.
Filming will begin on July 9 in Las Vegas and the show will be aired in America from August of this year till January 2010. It remains to be seen if Australians will get a chance to see the series. With the hype and publicity the The Poker Star is getting, it could well be time for Full Tilt to jump in to Australia. PokerStars have been going from strength to strength over here so fingers crossed Full Tilt make an effort as well.
The show will be hosted by “Sopranos” star Steve Schirripa. The way it works is that you have to beat 3 Full Tilt pros in heads up in a row to take home the million dollars. The pros are Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Jennifer Harman, Erick Lindgren, Phil Gordon, Erik Seidel, Allen Cunningham, Andy Bloch, John Juanda, Mike Matusow, Patrik Antonius and Gus Hansen.
You can qualify for the Face the Ace Challenge on Full Tilt via satellites. You get up to a $600 bonus when you sign up. Here is a video of the TV advertisement for the series.
