PGA Championship 2010
By Nick Haslem - August 12, 2010
The PGA Championship get underway in less than two hours. There isn’t much chance to get your bets on, in what is widely believed to be a very open contest in 2010. For some reason Sportingbet still has Tiger Woods as the equal 2nd favourite at $17.00. People must hate money if they are getting on that.
Phil Mickelson is the favourite at $14.00, despite not being in the best form either. Out of the favourites I like Rory Mcllroy the most. He’s been looking more likely to win a major every time he plays, and this could well be his time.
Some of the markets that the online bookmakers in Australia have available are:
- Tournament by country. Bet on the best Australian, best Englishman etc.
- To make the cut. Tiger Woods to miss the cut at $3.50?
- Tiger Woods Specials
- Phil Mickelson Specials
- 72 hold match bets. This is my favourite market to bet on. Do your research better than the bookmakers and cash in. Just pick who is going to finish on top between two golfers.
- 72 hole group betting.
- PGA Championship Outright – Eachway Top 5.
- Round 1 – 3 balls. These are available for each round.M/li>
PGA Championship 2010 Best Bets
I like Justin Rose to beat Adam Scott over 72 holes, along with Dustin Johnson to beat Steve Stricker. They are paying $1.85 and $2.05 respectively.
